Parkinsons Disease 

 

​Parkinsons disease is a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system which primarily affects the body's motor system. The symptoms of this disease result from the death of dopamine-generating cells in the substantia nigra, a region of the midbrain. This region plays an important role in reward, addiction, and movement. 

  • Bradykinesia- shaking, rigidy, slowness of movement

  • Behavioral problems

  • Sleep problems

  • Dementia

  • Depression

Symptoms
Causes

The cause of Parkinsons Disease is to this day unknown, but their are many known factors that commonly play a role, including genes and enviormental triggers. Researchers found that in certain rare cases 

Although Parkinson's Disease cannot be cured yet, there are a wide rage of medications that can help control its symptoms.
